The Metal Treating Institute’s spring meeting was held May 3rd through May 5th at Amelia Island in Florida. Over 130 attendees, managers, and executives from over 50 member companies attended the event. The 3 day event included networking sessions and technical presentations. After the first day of technical presentations, MTI leadership gave an update to the membership on key initiatives. One of the key initiatives is safety standards related to arc flash, lock out tag out, confined space, and elevated work practices. As the leader of the safety committee Ben gave a brief update on the status and some of the details of the roll out.
