Are you looking for a versatile oil quench – dual chamber furnace that can be used for a wide range of heat treat applications? Look no further than Gasbarre!

The CIH Oil Quench – Dual Chamber vacuum furnace is quite versatile, designed for a wide range of heat treat applications. The oil quench module is combined with a heating module and an internal drive mechanism that provides for a fast, smooth transfer of the workload. Temperatures to 2400°F are typical and cover many processes. Higher temperature capabilities are offered upon request.

With the inclusion of an internal vacuum door, the heating chamber is isolated from the oil quench chamber. Consequently, the heat chamber may remain at temperature and under vacuum during loading and unloading of the furnace. This allows for safe operation, faster floor-to-floor times and higher efficiency as only the workload is heated. As it is not exposed to room air and humidity, the heating chamber is extremely pure, which produces precise, repeatable and quality metallurgical results.

Gasbarre Oil Quench Dual Chamber Furnace

With products that range from batch furnaces to continuous belt furnaces, pusher furnaces, vacuum furnaces, humpback furnaces, and much more, Gasbarre can solve any application challenge with the expertise and passion needed to drive your success.

Batch Vacuum Furnaces Designed for many thermal processes, the electrically heated batch vacuum furnace is available in a multitude of configurations. The most basic configurations are the front and top-loading single chamber styles where work is loaded into and out from the same door. These are designed for high-temperature applications such as brazing, annealing, carburizing, hardening, tempering and are supplied with graphite or ceramic insulation packages. Evacuation systems include rough pumps, boosters, and diffusion pumps when required. Being modular in design, independent quench chambers may be added to the basic heating chamber. The quenching mediums may be gas, pressurized gas, and/or oil. Isolation of the modules (temperature and vacuum level) may be accomplished with an internal vacuum door.

Continuous Vacuum Furnaces The continuous vacuum furnace essentially transforms the batch vacuum furnace into a straight through furnace. Work is no longer processed into and out from the same side – rather work is loaded into the entry side and unloaded from the exit side of the furnace. Modules consist of load/evacuation chambers, preheat and high heat chambers, multiple heat position chambers, and quench (oil and/or pressurized gas) chambers. Small batches are therefore indexed in a continuous fashion making this style furnace highly productive in processes that range from annealing, brazing, carburizing, sintering, to hardening. With the continuous vacuum furnace, the heat chamber typically remains hot and under vacuum making for a highly efficient and pure system.
